On April 18th, The Center for Oklahoma Studies and the OSU Library will be hosting Robert Miller for a talk on the McGirt decision. His presentation, entitled “The Future of Oklahoma and Indian Country after McGirt v Oklahoma,” will take place at 11:30 am in the Peggy V. Helmerich Browsing Room at the Library. Miller (Eastern Shawnee) is a Professor of Law at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Along with his new co-authored book, A Promise Kept: The Muscogee (Creek) Nation and McGirt v. Oklahoma, Miller is also author of Reservation 'Capitalism': Economic Development in Indian Country and Native America, Discovered and Conquered: Thomas Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, and Manifest Destiny.
